Frequently asked questions about the corona virus

Have you booked a vacation with Villatent, or do you want to book a vacation but you are unsure about the current situation concerning the corona virus? We cannot take away the worries, but we will of course think with you about alternatives and possibilities. Because if there is one thing we find important, it is that you can enjoy your vacation without worries.

Naturally, we keep a close eye on the news for each country. In this, we follow the advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Here you will find more information per country on possible entry restrictions and corona measures. 

Can I change my vacation?

At Villatent you can change your vacation up to 14 days before arrival. There are of course a few 'rules' attached to this:

  • Rebooking is free and can be done without giving any reason;
  • Rebooking is possible up to 14 days before arrival;
  • The rebooking guarantee applies to the entire reservation;
  • Rebooking is possible based on availability;
  • Rebooking is only possible for the same season;
  • Rebooking to 2023 is only possible if code orange/red is in effect in your vacation region up to 14 days before arrival.
  • If the price of the rebooked vacation is lower than the original reservation, the difference will not be refunded;
  • If the price of the rebooked vacation is higher than the original reservation, the additional costs will be charged;
  • The duration of the stay must remain the same;
  • Rebooking can be done by phone or via Please indicate your desired arrival date, so we can check availability;
  • We confirm the rebooking by e-mail.

What are the cancellation policies if someone in my travel group is diagnosed with corona?

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions. We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance. Cancellation costs may be recovered from your cancellation insurance.

How do you deal with applicable restrictions and measures in foreign countries?

If, due to entry restrictions (quarantine requirements or closed borders), it is still not possible to travel to your destination for vacation purposes ten days prior to arrival, we will work together to see if we can change the booking to another destination and/or period in 2022.

I don't want to go on vacation anymore. Can I cancel my vacation because of the coronavirus?

Do you want to cancel your vacation for an area where no code red/orange applies? Then the General Conditions as accepted when making the booking apply. Cancellation costs can possibly be recovered from your cancellation insurance. This depends on the conditions of your insurance. Reservation fees are not refundable under any circumstances.
