Camping Colleverde

Only two kilometres above culture city Siena

Campsite Colleverde is a scenic camping facility, centrally located in Tuscany and only two kilometres above the dynamic culture city of Siena. Your holidays are simply not complete without a visit to beautiful Siena. And let us not forget Pisa or Florence. From your Villatent’s terrace at Colleverde, you look out on the pool, where you can do your laps and enjoy a drink at the pool bar.

Campsite Colleverde is a scenic camping facility, located only two kilometres above Siena. Colleverde is ideally situated for discovering this fantastic city of culture. Many of the campsite’s guests are people who are travelling through Tuscany. Do you want to visit Siena? Then you can leave your car at your tent and go by bus. Only 100 metres from the camping area, there is a bus stop from where you are taken to the centre of the city. We highly recommend a visit to the Duomo di Siena cathedral and the Piazza del Campo. And if you feel like doing some exercise, you can climb the Torre del Mangia!

At the campsite, the restaurant with its traditional brick kiln oven serves great food. At its terrace, you can enjoy a delicious lunch or a real Italian pizza. There is a small shop where you can buy your basic groceries and fresh buns.

Villatents at Colleverde

Campsite Colleverde has two Villatents Luxe, each one suitable for a maximum of five persons. The tents are positioned next to one another at two beautiful spacious spots (See map), and can be entered by stairs. Both tents are situated in the midst of the camping area and have a view on the swimming pool. In front of the tents, there is plenty of room to barbecue, and you can take a nap in your hammock. Both the sanitary facilities and the swimming pool are nearby. You can park your car not far from the tent.

Swimming pool

The large swimming pool at the campsite has a deep and a shallow section. Around the pool, there are a sufficient number of comfortable lounge seats, and there is a cosy bar where you can get refreshing drinks. It is compulsory to wear a bathing cap. The pool is open from 1 June until 1 September.

Surrounding area

Campsite Colleverde has no entertainment team, which is because there is so much to see and do in the near vicinity! The nearby city of Siena is known for its majestic cathedral, its musea, its art, and its history. In the narrow alleys of this medieval place, you can wander about endlessly. Tip! Twice a year (in July and in August), the entire city centre is closed off for the Palio, a horse race at the Piazza del Campo. This spectacular event is certainly worth a visit.

Wine lovers can make a nice day trip through the Chianti-region between Florence and Siena. And during your wine tasting here, you will also be introduced to the typically Italian pecorino cheese! Would you like to soak up some culture? We can highly recommend a visit to San Gimignano.
