Perfectly situated for discovering the entire region of Tuscany
Camping La Chiocciola is situated in beautiful Tuscany. A holiday at this campsite will offer you a combination of relaxation, sports, and nature. Sports lovers can thoroughly enjoy themselves in one of the three swimming pools or at the tennis court. Furthermore, the campsite’s favourable location makes it very easy to explore multiple sites in the Tuscany region, for example the medieval cities Siena and Arezzo, or the famous Chianti district with its rolling hills and vineyards.
Despite its name, which means snail, La Chiocciola is a very suitable campsite for sports lovers. It has a football field, two tennis courts and a volleyball field. For the very young, there is a small playground with a slide, a swing, and a climbing rack. Having grown hungry after swimming, playing or doing sports? Then you can go to the bar for an easy snack or get buns at the small campsite shop. And would you like to enjoy a typical Italian meal? You can dine at the campsite’s restaurant, which is situated in an antique mansion. Apart from delicious pizzas and pastas, you can also enjoy here specialties from the Tuscan kitchen. The restaurant has a large terrace. And are you a beer fan? Then check out the campsite’s pub!
Campsite La Chiocciola has four Villatent Nomad tents that are fully equipped for six persons. The tents have a fan that provides extra cooling during the hot days. The tents are located nearby the campsite’s entrance, close to the swimming pool and the reception. (See map) The tents are positioned behind one another on scenic and wide spaces with much privacy. Enjoy the charm of an Italian campsite while having all the luxury you need in your own private Villatent.
There are two large swimming pools and a big (shallow) paddling pool for toddlers at the campsite. The swimming pool has sufficient lounge beds, and at various places there are coverings for shade. In Italy, it is generally compulsory to wear a bathing cap, but not at this campsite! So, you can enjoy your swimming without wearing one.
During the high season, there is a Dutch entertainment team at the campsite. It organises activities for children from 4 to 12 years of age. These activities include doing crafts and drawing, but also sports and games.
