Update: "Holidays within Europe from 15 June allowed again".

Good news for the summer holidays: the Dutch will be able to travel to most European countries from 15 June. Travel restrictions will then be relaxed and the obligation to go into quarantine for two weeks upon return to the Netherlands will also be abolished. 

What measures apply at my holiday destination?

The general guidelines for corona in all European countries are the same as in the Netherlands: you should stay at home if you feel sick, sneeze in your elbow, wash your hands regularly, use paper handkerchiefs, have no physical contact during greetings and keep a distance of 1.5 metres. 

For the specific measures on the campsite you have booked we refer you to the site or social media channels of the campsite itself. 

What about the Corona voucher? 

During the closed campsites / borders we offered the possibility to convert your booked holiday into a voucher. Now that the travel restrictions will be relaxed from mid-June, and from then on code red/orange no longer applies, the possibility to apply for a voucher will lapse. Vouchers already issued will of course retain their value and can be redeemed until the end of October 2021. 

My holiday is almost starting, but I am going to a code red/orange area. What to do now?

If code red/orange is called from 14 days before arrival in the area of the campsite you have booked, you can request a voucher for the value of the amount already paid. Code red/orange applies on the basis of the advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

I don't want to go on holiday anymore. Can I cancel my holiday because of the Corona virus?

If you want to cancel your holiday anyway, then the General Terms and Conditions apply as accepted when making the booking. Cancellation costs can be recovered from your cancellation insurance. Whether this is possible depends on the conditions of your insurance and the reason for cancellation. Reservation costs are not refundable under any circumstances.

Can I rebook my booked holiday with Villatent? 

At Villatent you can change your holiday up to 2 weeks before departure. Of course, there are a few 'rules of the game' attached to this:

  • Rebooking can be done free of charge without giving a reason;
    You can change your booking up to 2 weeks before the arrival date;

  • The rebooking guarantee applies to the entire reservation;

  • Re-booking is only possible on the basis of availability at the time of rebooking;

  • Rebooking is only possible for the same season (2020);

  • Rebooking to 2021 is not possible;

  • If the cost of the rebooked holiday is lower than the original booking, the difference will not be refunded;

  • If the amount of the holiday is higher than the original reservation, the extra costs will be charged;

  • The duration of the stay must remain the same;

  • Re-booking can be done by phone or via mailme@villatent.nl.

  • Please indicate your desired arrival date and we will check availability;

  • We will confirm the rebooking by email.
