What you need to know for your glamping holiday in Italy
Our Villatents are spread across all of Italy! You can find our safari tents in regions such as Tuscany, Umbria, Rome, Sardinia and by Lake Garda. You can also stay in a Villatent on the beautiful island of Elba, at Camping Casa dei Prata. Elba is easily accessible with a short ferry ride of about an hour: from the port of Piombino, you take the ferry to Portoferraio, the island’s main town.
Absolutely. The tents are child-friendly and located on campsites with facilities for children, such as playgrounds, swimming pools and animation programs. For the youngest guests, it’s possible to book a baby package with your reservation. This package includes a camping cot with a mattress and the well-known high chair from Ikea.
Please note: there is no bedding provided in the baby cot, and bed linen cannot be booked for it. Since every child has their own preferences for blankets, pillows or sleeping bags, we recommend bringing these from home.
Some Villatents in Italy are equipped with air conditioning or a fan. Whether this is available depends on the campsite and tent type. Each accommodation on our website clearly indicates if air conditioning is included.
Please note: our tents are made of canvas. This gives you the true safari tent experience but also means that the indoor temperature can vary with the weather. Thanks to good ventilation and, in some cases, air conditioning, staying in a Villatent remains comfortable even during warmer summer days.
Our Villatent campsites in Italy are open from mid-April or early May until the end of September. During the summer, you can enjoy wonderfully warm temperatures. Thanks to the air conditioning in some tents, staying in a safari tent remains pleasant and comfortable even during the warmer months.
