De Vaubarlet

An oasis of peace in the middle of a valley

De Vaubarlet is an oasis of peace in the middle of a valley in France. The 4-star campsite is situated at the La Haute-Loire department in the Auvergne region, and is surrounded by green landscapes. A small river named La Dunière runs through the campsite. At its shores, you can have a lovely time paddling, building dams, or fishing. Furthermore, the campsite has an outdoor swimming pool, and a cosy bar where you can enjoy having a rest and a drink. For the children there is a mini club and a kids’ disco, while kayak tours are organised on a regular basis.

The campsite has a small restaurant where you can order snacks, salades, pizzas and regional dishes. It is also possible to collect meals to bring to your Villatent. Next to the swimming pool, there is a nice bar with a terrace where you can watch big sports events on a large tv-screen. The children can enjoy themselves playing football (there is a football field), volleyball, jeu de boule, or table tennis. There is also a playing ground.

Villatents at De Vaubarlet

Campsite De Vaubarlet has six fully decorated Villatent Wood that can accommodate a maximum of five persons. The Villatents are positioned next to one another in beautiful spacious areas with a phenomenal view on a secluded grass clearing with green surroundings. The sanitary facilities are nearby, and the swimming pool is at a few minutes walking distance. Do you love nature, space, and privacy? Then this campsite can be highly recommended. The tents are indicated on the map by numbers V1 to V6.

Swimming pool

There are a heated outdoor swimming pool and a small paddle pool at the campsite. In the river that flanks the campsite, you can have a great time paddling, playing, or lying on your air bed and floating along with the river’s current.

Activities and entertainment

There is entertainment for the children six days per week, both in the morning and in the afternoon. In addition, once a week the Dutch speaking entertainment team takes the young children out for a kayaking tour. Each Friday evening, there is a special children’s disco. The younger ones can enjoy themselves doing crafts or having fun at the playing ground or on the bouncing cushion.

At 40 kilometres from the campsite, you find the city of Le Puy en Velay. Here, you can visit the Cathédrale Notre-dame du Puy, which is placed on the World Heritage List of Unesco. The cathedral is the starting point of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Lyon is situated at a one-hour drive from the campsite. And would you like a bit of adventure? Everywhere around the campsite, you can go mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, and horse riding.
