La Garenne
Child-friendly 4-star campsite in the Ardèche
La Garenne is a child-friendly campsite, located in the beautiful valley of the Eyrieux river in the French Ardèche. With its variety of landscapes, this region is ideal for both nature lovers and active holidaymakers. It is particularly suitable for walking or cycling. The campsite lies at the edge of a wood at only five minutes walking distance from the village centre. Here you will find a baker, a butcher, and a tobacconist. And the medieval town of La Voulte-sur-Rhône, with a number of large supermarkets and fine restaurants, is only three kilometres away from the campsite. La Garenne is a true family campsite with an extensive entertainment programme for all ages.
There is lots to do at La Garenne! You can participate in jeu de boules and volleyball competitions, and enhance your table tennis skills. In the summer holidays, the older children gather in the evenings to socialize. Do you want to explore the region? In the high season, the campsite rents out bicycles and mountain bikes in various sizes. You can have a meal at the campsite restaurant, where theme evenings are organised on a weekly basis. Do you prefer to eat in or outside your tent? It is also possible to collect carryout snacks or pizzas. And every day, you can collect your fresh buns and croissants at the reception (on order).
Villatents at La Garenne
At Camping La Garenne, we have our Villatent Nomad safari tents (numbers 113 to 115 and 120 to 125 on the map). The tents are situated on beautiful, spacious spots.
Please note: the tents numbered 113 to 115 have a slightly different layout than those numbered 120 to 125.
- Numbers 113 to 115 feature a comfortable lounge sofa.
- Numbers 120 to 125 are equipped with a dining table, a dining bench, and chairs.
The terrace in all tents is similarly furnished with a dining table, a dining bench, and two comfortable lounge chairs.
Swimming pool
The campsite has a large swimming pool of no less than 320 m2. For the younger children, there is a nice paddling pool with mini slides. The pool is heated by the sun and is open every day. It is fenced, so that small children cannot enter the pool without supervision. As shorts are not allowed, the gentlemen are kindly requested to bring tight swimming trunks.
Activities and entertainment
Campsite La Garenne has a Dutch entertainment team that offers a broad range of activities. Some examples are moonlight swimming, live music, or a playback show for the whole family. The young children can enjoy themselves with one another baking pancakes or pizzas or doing crafts. The older children can participate in scavenger hunts or sports tournaments, and for the adults, wine tastings are organised.

The surroundings
A suitable for everyone
The Ardèche, a popular holiday destination, boasts a breath-taking mountain landscape, colourful chestnut forests, vast vineyards, and bustling local markets. This area’s main draw is the river that pushes on southwards through an impressive gorge. It can get quite hot in the Ardèche region in the summer months, but the nearby river offers plenty of opportunity to cool off.
