La Roche d’Ully
Four-star campsite in the Jura mountain chain
Campsite La Roche d’Ully is a four-star campsite in the east of France. It is located in the mountains of the Jura, at the edge of the historic town of Ornans, also called the small Venice of Comté. Here, the view on the surrounding hills is impressive, while the area is perfect for making long walks. The natural height differences add an extra flavour of adventure to the region. Also called the Mecca of mountain biking, the ‘Vallée de la Loue’ is situated in the Jura massif. La Roche d’Ully is an ecological campsite and forms part of the Kids Campings organisation, a selection of campsites that specifically caters to children.
Four-star campsite La Roche d’Ully is active in the preservation of the environment. It tries to limit the campsite’s impact on its natural surroundings to a maximum. The French bird protection association (LPO), has officially recognised the campsite as a birds’ reserve. By the campsite’s reception, you find a vegetable garden. Here, guests are informed about which plants are edible. Everything in this garden is planted biologically without the use of chemicals.
The campsite has a restaurant where in the high season you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. The reception rents out rackets for ping pong or badminton, a bow and arrow, a fishing rod, a large Mikado game, or mountain bikes. Next to the reception, there is a small shop where you can get some basic necessities. And there is an open-air sports field at the campsite!
Villatents at La Roche d’Ully
At campsite La Roche d’Ully, there are four Villatents Deluxe with sanitary facilities. These luxurious safari tents are fully equipped with furniture, a full-size kitchen, and comfortable beds. The Villatent Nomad is suitable for six persons. It has a terrace with a hammock and an Outdoorchef barbecue. At the map, the tents are indicated by numbers 47, 48, 90 and 100.
Water park Nautiloue
Next to the campsite, you can have a lovely time in the Nautiloue waterpark, which has an indoor and an outdoor pool, a water slide, and a relaxation area (sauna, hamam and jacuzzi). All guests of the campsite can visit this waterpark for free. It is situated just outside the campsite at walking distance. The water in the indoor and outdoor pools is no less than 28 degrees. Only tight swimming trunks are allowed here, so no shorts or bermudas. For those who seek some serious peace and quiet, there is a wellness centre by the water park, with a sauna, a hamam and a jacuzzi.
