Charming, Small-Scale Campsite in the Heart of Umbria
Camping Pian di Boccio is a small-scale campsite located in the heart of Umbria, also known as the green heart of Italy. You find yourself in the middle of an olive grove, close to the historic fortified town of Bevagna. The campsite has a large swimming area with three pools, a playground, various sports facilities such as tennis and volleyball courts, archery, and football. During high season, there is plenty to do for all ages, with activities such as archery and pizza baking twice a week. At the reception, you can rent bicycles and get tips for beautiful walking, cycling, and mountain biking routes in the area. The campsite also has a restaurant and pizzeria with a wood-fired oven, a bar, and a small shop for daily necessities.
- Swimming Fun for the Whole Family: Enjoy the large swimming complex with three pools: two for adults and one for children. Around the pool, there is a sun terrace with chairs and a cozy bar. In high season, there is always a lifeguard present. Please note, a swim cap is required.
- Activities & Archery: In the high season, the campsite organizes archery lessons, live music, and pizza baking for the children. There are tennis courts, football, and volleyball fields. Additionally, you can rent bicycles through the reception for beautiful rides in the area.
- Unique Location in the Heart of Umbria: The Umbrian landscape is known for its rolling hills, olive, and vineyards. Explore the charming fortified town of Bevagna, just a few minutes drive from the campsite, and visit the main cities of Umbria such as Assisi, Perugia, and Spoleto, all within 60 kilometers.

Camping Pian di Boccio, located in the heart of Umbria, is ideal for families who enjoy walking, cycling, or mountain biking. Its picturesque towns situated among the green hills allow you to enjoy the unspoiled nature and authentic Italian hospitality. The main cities of Umbria, such as Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, and Orvieto, are all within a radius of 60 km.
Just 4 kilometers away lies the medieval Bevagna, where you can stroll through charming streets and discover Roman history. At the end of June, it comes alive during "Mercato delle Gaite," where medieval life and crafts are revived. Here you can see how iron was forged, glass was blown, and silk was processed.
Nearby, you will find Gualdo Cattaneo (4 km) with impressive castles. Montefalco (10 km), the "Balcony of Umbria," offers a beautiful view of the Topino and Clitunno valleys. Here, you can explore history and taste local specialties. For culture, Assisi (25 km), the city of Saint Francis, is highly recommended. Explore the basilica and wander through the historic streets. Spoleto (35 km) features beautiful architecture, such as the 230-meter-long Ponte delle Torri.
For daily groceries, you can also visit the nearby Bevagna (3 km). Here you will find supermarkets and local shops.
The campsite is seasonal and open from April 1 to September 30.
Reception
The reception is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for check-in only).

The swimming pool is open from mid-May to the end of September.

Restaurant
High season: guaranteed to be open in June, July, and August. Pizzeria only open in the evening in June and August.
Low season: restaurant open 3 days a week in June and September.
- Please note that the tourist tax must be paid on-site. The tourist tax amounts to €0.50 per person per night, payable from the age of 12.
- A towel package is available for a fee at the reception of Camping Pian di Boccio.
- There is a swimming cap requirement at the pool.
At Pian di Boccio, you can check in from 4:00 PM. On the day of departure, you must check out by 10:00 AM.

Camping Pian di Boccio is located in Bevagna, in the heart of Umbria. The campsite is accessible by both car and plane.
Car
From Utrecht, it is approximately a 16-hour drive to Camping Pian di Boccio, with a distance of about 1,500 km. The campsite is reachable via the A1, also known as the Autostrada del Sole. You will drive towards Florence and then towards Perugia. The Italian highways are well-maintained and provide a comfortable journey through the beautiful Umbrian landscape.
Flying
If you prefer to fly, you can fly via Perugia Airport (Aeroporto dell’Umbria). This airport has direct connections to Dutch airports in Rotterdam and Eindhoven. Perugia Airport is only 30 km from the campsite, which translates to about a 30-minute drive. From there, you can continue your journey to the campsite by rental car or taxi.
