Campsite De Papillon is a versatile location with multiple facilities: shop, snack bar, restaurant, Wifi (upon payment of a fee), heated sanitary provisions, recreation pond, fishing pond, entertainment team, tennis court, and football field. Whether you like to play tennis or football, or you prefer to hike or cycle, there is something to do for everyone at De Papillon! And what’s more, the campsite is truly innovative in terms of sustainability and energy saving. From the playing equipment to the sanitary facilities, they all contain sustainable materials.

Villatents at Campsite De Papillon

De Papillon has four luxurious fully decorated Villatent Nomad tents. The tents can accommodate a maximum of six persons, and are placed in a group on a separate field. The tents all have air conditioning and heating. On the map, they are indicated on field B, by numbers 25 to 28. On the field, no cars are allowed. You can only drive your car to the tent to (un)load, but after that you are kindly requested to park it at the parking lot. Each tent has its own parking space, which is at a short walking distance from the field.

Swimming pool

Campsite De Papillon has a covered swimming pool with a roof that can be opened. For the very young, there is a separate paddle pool with playing equipment. For additional water fun, the children can go to the interactive water playground with a multi-colour floor, which sprays water upwards. Or do the children feel like boating, going on the cableway, or building sand castles? Then we recommend the large recreational pond with the sand beach. In the middle of this pond, there is an inflatable iceberg of a few metres high, which guarantees hours of climbing fun!

Activities and entertainment

De Papillon is known as the best children’s campsite of Twente. Its entertainment team organises activities and events for all age groups: scouting expeditions, performances, doing crafts; it is all possible. During the holiday periods, there is a special recreation programme. Furthermore, each camping section has its own playground.

Tip! In the village of Denekamp, multiple activities are organised. For example, fairs in the summer, the village feast at the end of July, an Oldtimer-festival in September, and Denekamp Undercover in October. Do you want more information about these events?
