Camping Village Mare Pineta is a beautiful 4-star campsite set on top of a cliff, offering panoramic views over the Bay of Sistiana. Right next to the campsite starts the famous Rilke Trail, a scenic walking route with spectacular coastal views leading towards Duino Castle. The vibrant city of Trieste is just 20 kilometres away and is perfect for a day of culture and sightseeing.
At the campsite, you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. Take a refreshing swim in the semi-olympic pool or unwind in the jacuzzi, while younger children enjoy the paddling pool. Surrounding the pool is a spacious sun terrace with sun loungers. There is also a brand-new wellness area with an infinity pool and restaurant, both overlooking the bay. The campsite restaurant is known for its excellent pizzas and local specialities, while the bar is the perfect place for a good espresso or an aperitif. In addition, the campsite offers a supermarket and various sports facilities, including volleyball and football pitches, a tennis court and a fitness room. Children can have fun for hours in the playground, and during the high season the animation team provides plenty of entertainment with games, tournaments and evening shows for the whole family.

- Beach within easy reach: The campsite is located on a cliff, and a short walk downhill brings you to the beach. Prefer not to walk? During the high season, a free shuttle train runs throughout the day to and from the pebble beach of the Bay of Sistiana.

Just 2 km from Camping Village Mare Pineta you’ll find the beautiful pebble beaches of Baia di Sistiana. Thanks to the free shuttle service, you can be at the beach within minutes, perfect for a refreshing swim or trying out a water sport.
Fancy a city break? In around half an hour (20 km) you’ll be right in the heart of the port city of Trieste. Stroll across the impressive Piazza Unità d’Italia, visit Miramare Castle or enjoy a cappuccino in one of the historic cafés. The city’s Habsburg influences give Trieste its unique charm.
The green surroundings are also ideal for walking and mountain biking along the coast and through the Karst landscape. With this mix of beach, nature and culture, there’s always something to do in and around Camping Mare Pineta.
For daily groceries, a large supermarket is just 1 km away, and the charming village centre of Sistiana can be reached within minutes. Keen to explore further? - Wearing a swimming cap is mandatory in the swimming pool.
- Sun loungers and parasols are available at an additional charge.
- Quiet hours apply between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am. During this time, driving on the campsite is not allowed. Outside these hours, cars must be parked in the central car park in front of the campsite.
At Camping Village Mare Pineta, check-in is available from 4:00 pm. On the day of departure, check-out must be completed by 10:00 am.
Camping Village Mare Pineta is easy to reach by both car and plane. The campsite is located near Trieste, in the north-east of Italy, and is well connected to major roads and transport hubs.
By car
The campsite is close to the A4 motorway towards Trieste. From the motorway exit, it is just 1.5 km to Camping Village Mare Pineta. The route is clearly signposted and the roads are well maintained.
By plane
The nearest airport is Trieste Airport – Friuli Venezia Giulia, about 20 km away. From there, you can reach the campsite in around 30 minutes by taxi or rental car. Venice Marco Polo Airport is another option, located approximately 140 km away, with onward travel by car or public transport to Trieste and Sistiana.
