Vacation Park Klein Vaarwater is a modern family campsite located in the dunes, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. Here, you’ll experience the true Ameland feeling. The park features a beautiful main building with many facilities, such as an indoor swimming pool with two new water slides, a bowling alley, an indoor play area, outdoor playground, a fitness center, a supermarket. The park has its own restaurant, De Huyskamer, where you can enjoy lunch or dinner. Prefer something quick? At 't Snackhuys you can get fries, snacks, or an ice cream. Or take a five-minute walk to the beautiful beach pavilion ’t Strandhuys. Here, after a day at the beach, you can relax on the spacious terrace with a view of the North Sea. Surroundings
When you arrive on Ameland by ferry from Holwert, you will reach the port of Nes on Ameland. In the nearby village, you will find Vacation Park Klein Vaarwater, heading towards the North Sea beach.
Ameland offers many cycling and walking routes that pass through beautiful nature and along the coast. Additionally, there are numerous watersport activities such as sailing, kite surfing, and mudflat hiking.
Ameland consists of four villages: Buren, Nes, Hollum, and Ballum. Each village has its own unique charm and attractions. There is always something new to discover during your stay on Ameland.
Buren, the village where Vacation Klein Vaarwater is located, is the easternmost village on Ameland. This village offers a variety of restaurants and interesting attractions. The Agricultural and Beachcombing Museum provides insight into the historical life on Ameland and displays treasures washed ashore. The village is also known for its beautiful sandy beach, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or relaxing with a drink at the beach pavilion. Additionally, Buren has several restaurants where you can enjoy delicious meals.

Please note that at Vacation Park Klein Vaarwater, some mandatory, variable costs are added on top of the Villatent price. These costs will be charged in advance on the invoice:
- Tourist tax: €2,08 per person per night
- Obligatory purchase of bed linen package including towels: €15,00 per person per stay
- Air conditioning surcharge
In addition, the following details apply:
- The bed linen package includes two towels per person in addition to bed linen.
- Dogs are not allowed in the Villatents on Kleinvaarwater Holiday Park.
- Villa tent guests have free access to the indoor swimming pool once a day
- In the centre building there are unguarded luggage racks available for arrival and departure so you can use the facilities on the park.
At Vacation Park Klein Vaarwater, you can check in from 4:00 PM. On the day of departure, you must check out by 10:00 AM.

To get to Ameland, you cross the Wadden Sea by boat. The ferry terminal is located in Holwert, Friesland. You can make the crossing with your car or bicycle. Alternatively, you can choose to travel to the ferry terminal by public transport or park your car, as there is plenty of parking available. If you want to take your car to Ameland, it is important to reserve it early with the Wagenborg ferry service.
