The Wadden Islands are easy to reach by ferry from several departure points on the mainland, such as Holwert for Ameland. Ferries run multiple times a day, and you can choose between the regular service or the fast service if you are traveling without a car.
Tip: Planning to bring your car on the ferry? Make sure to book in advance. Especially during the high season and on sunny days, car spots on the ferry sell out quickly.
On Ameland, the Villatent Ranger, Villatent Nomad, and Villatent Cottage are ready to welcome you. Each tent is equipped with private sanitary facilities and a fully furnished kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, and kitchen utensils. The tents also feature their own terrace and are located together on a cozy field with a small playground. From the entrance of Vakantiepark Klein Vaarwater, the tents are easily accessible, both by car and by bike.
A holiday on Ameland is the perfect way to truly get away from it all. Relax at a cozy beach pavilion, such as ’t Strandhuys, which is within walking distance of Vakantiepark Klein Vaarwater. The best way to explore the island is by bike: cycle through charming villages like Nes and Hollum and visit the iconic lighthouse. Located about 12 kilometers from Klein Vaarwater, the lighthouse can be reached in roughly 40 minutes by bike.
