Lac d’Orient
A fantastic location at a distance of 200 metres from the lake
Campsite Lac d’Orient cordially welcomes you to the Champagne region! This 4-star campsite is extraordinarily situated in the middle of the regional park Le Fôret d’Orient, at the shore of a large lake. An ideal holiday destination for water and nature lovers. The lake is highly suitable for water sports and great for swimming. And do not forget the area’s multiple vineyards, where you can visit the various wine tasting events. The Champagne is one of France’s most famous wine regions!
Lac d’Orient is a spacous campsite with modern facilities. In addition, there is a bar, a restaurant and a small shop. At walking distance from the campsite, you find two restaurants with a beautiful view on the lake. The campsite’s sanitary facilities have recently been completely renewed and are fully equipped for disabled persons, children, and families. Moreover, there are lots of recreational facilities, such as a multi-functional sports field and a fitness space. At the playing ground, which has a jungle theme, children can enjoy themselves on the jumping equipment and on other instruments.
Villatents at Lac d’Orient
The campsite has four Villatent Wood tents that are fully equipped for five persons. The tents are located nearby the renewed (and heated) sanitary building, so you do not have to walk far. The tents are positioned at spaces 94, 95, 112 and 113, as indicated on the map.
Swimming paradise
The campsite has a swimming paradise where both young and old can have a lovely time! In the heated indoor pool, you can do your laps regardless of the season. The outdoor section consists of one large pool, a children’s pool with playing equipment, and a (non-heated) pool with three slides. One of these slides is 35 metres long, and the other two are 11.5 metres. While the children enjoy themselves in the swimming paradise, the parents can relax on the lounge seats.
Feel like taking a dive into the lake? This is also possible! The lake is forbidden for motor boats, and therefore highly suitable for swimming, sailing, or fishing. Furthermore, you can hire a sailboat or a kayak at the lake, and nearby there is a sailing school where you can take lessons.
Activities and entertainment
In July and August, Lac d’Orient offers a broad spectrum of activities. Various sports events are organised, and in the evenings, there are often shows with live music and dance. Two times a day, the MiniClub arranges activities for the very young, such as doing crafts and outdoor games.
